Want to volunteer? We always need volunteers and there are various ways you can help.
* Be a Foster Family. Foster homes are always needed. Please click on the foster tab for all the guidelines to becoming a foster home. This is a very rewarding and challenging role. There is an inevitable bond that forms between a foster dog and the foster family. TSAP takes pride in making sure the adopter is the best fit for the foster dog. It’s not first come first serve. Saying good-bye to a foster dog is bitter sweet. There is no other feeling that compares to seeing a dog walk off with its new family and knowing you played a small role in making that happen.
* Be A Dog handler. We have an adoption event every Saturday from 12-3pm at PetSmart in Fairless Hills, PA. We need handlers to hold the dogs at the event and answer questions from potential adopters about the dog. We have you come out and shadow an experienced dog handler until you are comfortable holding a dog on your own. All of our dogs are living in foster homes so we know exactly what type of handler is needed for each dog.
* Event Volunteer. TSAP attends various events to raise money so that we can continue to provide excellent vet care for all our dogs. We need volunteers to handle dogs at events as well as help us sell our merchandise and answer questions about our rescue. Please click on our volunteer page to see all of our up-coming events.
* On-line support. Simply like us on facebook! Share our dogs needing a new home and help spread the word about the dogs we have for adoption. You’ll stay up to date with what’s going on with our rescue and meet all our wonderful dogs.
Do you have a skill that you think we could use? Let us know by emailing [email protected].
We welcome volunteers with all talents. We host 2-3 events a year that require a face painter and people with various skills unrelated to dog handling. If you have an idea about a fundraising event please share it with us. If your hosting a event let us know we love to meet and support other rescues.
TSAP does not view other rescues as competition.
Other rescues and shelters are our allies and together we can accomplish great things.
